Trombe were appointed to design and install all the specialist glazing to the extensive side extension to an existing property.

The modern extension introduced serval elements of bespoke large format glazing to complement and enhance the older arts and crafts house.

A structurally glazed link was used to define the separation between the historic property and the new extension

To open out the extension to the rear garden, double height angled glass and sliding doors was utilised to maximise views. The sliding door system had custom made elements to enable the unusual angle of the doors.

On the front of the extension there was a large picture window serving the kitchen with daylight. The upper floor utilised large shaped rooflights to fill the rooms with light from above. The upper floor of the glass link also utilised switchable glass to provide a bridge between the master bedroom in the original part of the house and a walk-in wardrobe and bathroom.
