Barn Conversion Link

A structurally glazed link between the main house and an extension, designed to provide minimal impact on the existing buildings. The doors are steel frame with a slender ‘goal-post’ frame that is carefully integrated with the vertical glazing.

This project exemplifies the strength and possibilities of structural glass. Trombe calculate the required glass specification for each project which relates to size, spans, wind and snow loads. The roof panels have no intermediate support and the roof and wall panels are held together with a structural silicone bond.
