Canonbury Townhouse Extension

This listed terraced house had just one bathroom to serve four bedrooms and a small conservatory tacked onto the rear which contributed little to the living accommodation.

We re-worked the plan by adding an enlarged two-level extension involving a glazed extension, a new basement kitchen, improving the connection between the lower ground floor and the garden, and a new bathroom leading from the stair landing.

The triple sliding door folds into a pocket in the external wall of the bathroom so that the conservatory can be completely open to the garden in summer. The bathroom is lit by a large roof light.
