Cotswolds Barn Conversion

Trombé created glazing to replace the original barn doors on either side of this existing stone building sited in a private estate in the Cotswolds. The use of crisp contemporary detailing and materials contrast with the traditional masonry and allows daylight to floor the interior, as there are few existing windows. The new doors and windows were carefully detailed to integrate with the structural glazing and maximise views of the surrounding countryside.

The project is a good example of the harmonious combination of contemporary design with historic architecture, a field in which Trombé excels, our staff having considerable experience and expertise in dealing with planning and listed building consents.
