Dublin Townhouse Extension

Due to the bespoke nature of structural glass Trombe were approached to venture out of London and undertake the specialist glazing design and installation in Ireland. The project involved an extensive renovation and extension of a private protected dwelling. The terraced townhouse was built in the mid-nineteenth century as part of the Pembroke Estate in Dublin. Trombe’s involvement centred on the focal point of the project which was the copper clad glass extension at the rear of the property which replaced a dated conservatory structure.

The design incorporated two sided frameless glass walls and roof and a cantilevered minimal frame sliding door with a frameless balustrade.
