A wintergarden infill extension to a townhouse in Dublin. The design incorporated several specialist elements. The extension was split in height to work around the existing windows and split levels within the house. The extension had both a tall pivot door and a set of bifold doors to provide the client with different options to access the garden and to open the space up to the garden. The roof to the extension was fully glazed but also included a custom built sliding rooflight. The clerestory glazing is a mixture of fixed units and some openable windows to provide high level passive ventilation to purge heat from the space.
