Lakeside House 

Although of recent construction, the existing house was traditional in style and did not take advantage of the aspect of terraced gardens and a private lake. The owner wanted to extend the kitchen to create a family sitting room that could be opened to the landscape in the summer. We designed a contrasting contemporary style extension with a glazed canopy and a wide set of sliding folding doors. As the site is located in North Wales, a substantial element of conventional wall and roof construction is included to provide environmental protection in the winter and the glazed area is designed to allow maximum appreciation of the view.
