Rutland Farmhouse

Planning permission had already been obtained for a substantial two-storey extension to a traditional stone building in a historic village in Rutland. It benefits from panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

We helped the client and their contractor re-interpret the design to incorporate our glazing systems and inject design flair. Trombe created a double height glass wall to the gable end, comprising just six large glazing units, which spans the intermediate wall. At ground floor level a series of large sliding doors open onto the garden.
