Trombe were involved from concept to completion and undertook the design, planning, building control, technical design and install of a single storey extension to the rear and side of a semi-detached property. The brief was to provide a modern light filled space to extend the kitchen area along with the removal of an existing conservatory which was replaced with a glazed canopy.

The scheme includes elements of traditional construction with a flat roof, incorporating two low level flat roof lights. A glazed link creates a minimal connection to the main house, which allows an unencumbered view into the garden from the living room. Projecting from the rear of the property is a frameless glass roof, minimal, aluminium framed, sliding doors and structurally glazed side window. Insulated aluminium cladding conceals the structure and frames the doors.
